From June 2023 to April 2024, we completed an expansion of the Barrhill Feed Mill near Picture Butte, Alberta. This project involved a structural addition to house an additional temper bin, roller mill, and rolled storage bin, alongside two new hopper bins with a dedicated receiving system. We successfully navigated two primary challenges: seamlessly matching the existing facility’s architecture and addressing unexpected soil conditions that necessitated an immediate pile foundation redesign. The finished expansion provides a cohesive, high-capacity extension of their current grain processing operations.

From July 2024 to February 2026, we executed our largest project to date: the complete demolition and high-scale reconstruction of the Chinook Feeders mill. This expansion features a sophisticated new design and process flow centered around two independent steam flaking systems, twin 500hp boilers, four temper bins, and dual roller mills. Beyond significantly increasing storage capacity, the facility is engineered for extreme logistics efficiency, anchored by a high-speed grain handling system capable of unloading a full Super B in just five minutes. Despite the technical challenges of a first-of-its-kind design and massive scale, we delivered a high-performance facility that sets a new regional benchmark for feed production.

Between October 2022 and January 2024, we constructed a high-capacity feed mill for Schooten & Son’s Mossleigh. The facility features 900 tons of overhead temper and rolled storage bins integrated with three precision roller mills to significantly expand grain handling capabilities. We successfully managed a critical one-week installation window for the large precast receiving system. The completed mill provides a robust, high-volume infrastructure solution designed to meet demanding operational schedules and increased storage requirements.

From August 2024 to February 2026, we constructed a ground-up tempering mill for White Lake Colony in Lethbridge County. This precast facility features 330,000 bushels of grain storage and a high-efficiency multi-hopper truck receiving system. A key component of this project was our direct collaboration with the Colony on the fabrication process, ensuring the custom-designed infrastructure met their specific operational requirements. The result is a high-capacity, durable mill that significantly scales their grain handling and storage capabilities.
